Amanda has specialised in family law for over 30 years, deciding before she qualified that this was the area of law that would enable her to work for people facing significant family life changes and to advise and support them through it. This has included her being accredited to represent children in those families meaning that she has a wide breadth of family law experience. Amanda is a Resolution member.
Amanda has spent almost all of her legal career in an award-winning North-West firm. As a Partner managing the Divorce and Financial Settlement team, she frequently provided advice and representation in high value divorces and concentrated on privately funded divorce disputes, some with cross-jurisdictional issues, as well as complex child arrangement conflicts. Her contribution to the department saw it rise in the Legal 500 rankings to become a recognised North-West Tier 1 family team with an outstanding reputation amongst clients, other professionals and the judiciary.
Amanda has a long history with each of the individual members of the team at VM Family Law having worked alongside them over the years and so when it was time for change, there was no hesitation in accepting the invitation to join them.
